Helping people get through difficult times, master challenges, rise to the level of their angst regarding circumstances…That is what’s important to me. I have done therapy/worked in the field of mental health, for over 25 years. Using Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused foundations, I will partner with you, using a virtual platform, to address root causes of depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship problems and stress. You will improve communication skills, gain insight, self-worth, and learn how to problem resolution. You will evolve, and see a clear path to forward movement.

I grew up in Riverside CA. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, in 1989, and my Masters in Marital and Family Therapy in 2002. I moved to AZ in 2005, and I became licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2008. I have worked with a myriad of populations; Individuals (teens, men, women, older adults), families, and couples, addressing a variety of issues. I am a wife (of 26 years) and a mother of 1 daughter. The milestones in my life have been momentous. They have added meaning to my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. However, the journey was not without doubts, disappointments, and lows. None of us are exempt from the aches and pains that occur along the way. Coping, managing, and learning how to be resilient is key to moving forward.

As someone that grew up in a blended family, witnessing physical and verbal abuse, seeing multiple affairs, and inadequate communication, there is no one better to support you in disrupting patterns, healing, and learning how to regulate and ballance your emotions.

My Hobbies:
Unfortunately, I am a fan of reality TV (escapism at it’s best). Likewise, occasionally, my daughter and I will binge watch Netflix. In terms of being active, I try to squeeze in a work out a couple times a week and I like bike riding when the weather is nice. As a family, we enjoy going out to dinner here and there, and hanging out together at home. My husband and I like comedy, so we try to catch a show from time to time. Although doing therapy is my dream job, my second option would be an Interior Designer. I definitely have a creative side. I love HGTV.

As for therapy…I belive that when you go to therapy, you engage in a partnership. It’s the collaboration between therapist and client…it’s relational. My clients show up and actively participate in their healing. I give homework and encourage intentionality. I am fortunate enough to be along for the ride as clients evolve into the best version of themselves. That is, not a “perfect version” which doesn’t exist, but someone who shows up present, grounded and authentic.

I want to show you how Therapy, having someone to talk to and learning new skills can change your life. Allow me to be part of your journey.
